Further to a satisfactory MHRA risk-assessment and to support current unmet need, Thistle Pharma Ltd have imported EU Nitrosamine compliant, North American presentations of Varenicline in both 0.5mg and 1mg strength Tablets (n56) for use as a UK unlicensed medicine whilst no product with a UK Marketing Authorisation is available.
Smoking cessation teams and advocates should be made aware that Prescriptions must NOT be branded and should be in alignment with the DM&D descriptors available on the varied prescriber dashboards as extracted below;
